Jesus told us to pray for the Father’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth exactly as it is in heaven. (Matt.6:10) It is through the faithful and believing prayers of God’s people that His will is released on earth in every situation as His will is done in heaven. God’s desire is for His kingdom to be manifested on earth in people’s individual lives and the circumstances and affairs of our communities. God has set His people in this community to be catalysts for the full effect of this to actually be manifested.
It is the will of the head of the Church, Jesus Christ, for each person to come to maturity in their faith and attain to the full measure of Christ’s example in their spiritual life by demonstrating the fruits of the Spirit in every area of their lives and reproducing the kingdom of God in the lives of others. A healthy Church is a reproducing Church and the Father is glorified when we bear much fruit and so prove to be Christ’s disciples. (John 15:8; Eph. 4:13-15)
Jesus commanded His followers to preach the Good News, lay hands on and heal the sick , speak with new tongues, cast out demons, and to demonstrate the realities of His kingdom on earth as He did during His earthly ministry. Healings and miracles are to be the normal lifestyle that follows every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:15-18)
Jesus said we are to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth. It is His intent that we should impact the world and our community with the light of the Gospel and the love of Christ. We believe, as Spirit Baptized believers, we are to openly reach out to others in our daily lives and show our faith in living and practical ways. A silent believer is not an effective believer. (Matt.10:32) As Christ’s representatives we are to live lives that show outward evidence of a living faith and a personal commitment to a life of obedience to God’s Word and Spirit. (Col. 1:10; Gal. 5:22)
We believe the Bible is the Word of God. It is to be taught, studied, honored, believed and obeyed by all men who name the name of Christ. (2 Tim. 3:16)
We believe the gifts and manifestations of the Spirit are supernatural gifts and are for today. We not only believe in them, but encourage the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit in our Church services, lives, and gatherings. (1 Cor.12:1-12)
We believe that according to the teachings of Christ that it behooves us to work toward facilitating the unity of the Church of Jesus Christ in our society. We labor to bring down racial and denominational barriers that have separated Christ’s disciples from working together for the cause of Christ in our community and have prevented them from showing the love of Christ for one another as the viable Scriptural proof of our faith. (John 17:11; 20-23)
Part of our calling as a local Church in the overall Body of Christ is to provide opportunity for Apostolic and Prophetic ministry to function and operate. We train our members to operate in prophetic ministry and regularly have seasoned prophets come and minister. We believe for the Church of Jesus Christ to mature and come to its full potential, we must recognize and honor all the ministry gifts that Christ gave to the Church for this purpose. (Eph.4:7-16)
Our vision is to train, equip, and raise up an army of committed followers of Christ. Teaching them the Word of God and how to operate in their gifts, so they may offer their lives in service to the King. (Eph.4:7-16)
We seek to develop a close community of believers with a strong sense of family, to strengthen marriages, instill Godly values in its members, and to provide opportunities for each person to develop and offer their gifts in service to our Master so that we may present every man perfect in Christ. (Col.1:28)
