It’s a massive gathering of both young and old desperate for revival in our homes, our city, and especially our country. For four years now, thousands of fellow believers have gathered around Lake DeFuniak to unite in prayer for our government, military, family, church, business, education, and media.
As our country acknowledges the first Thursday in May each year as the National Day of Prayer, we have a very special way of participating. At the stroke of the bell at 6:00 pm, over 1800 people gather and join hands around Lake DeFuniak to pray.
We would like to invite you, your family, your church, your business, your co-workers, and your neighbors to this life changing event: The Walton County National Day of Prayer 2011. Sign in starts at 5:30 pm and prayer starts promptly 6:00 pm at the stroke of the bell. We recommend that you come at least 15 minutes early to park and sign in. (We have special assistance for elderly and handicapped on the west side of the lake, at the Chautauqua building.) Come rain or shine. We also suggest to bring a chair and umbrella.
Your financial support for this great event would be greatly appreciated. All donation checks should be payable to 'National Day of Prayer' and may be delivered to First National Bank and Trust of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, or Gabriel's Christian Book Store (756 Baldwin Ave. DeFunaik Springs, Florida 32435). All funds are for expenses only, using only volunteer labor, and are tax deductable. The committee for the Walton County National Day of prayer would like to thank you in advance for your support. We look forward to seeing you around the lake on May, 5th, 2011.
